The Subaşı Bronze Ring is dedicated to the 'Subaşı' character in Altar Kaplan's novel 'Halifeler Köyü'. The strict demeanor of this official, who accompanied judges and clerks, makes the relationship between authority and the journey of census visible. The overlapping wide pieces of the ring form a shield-like surface on a round band. Soft curves and a distinct outer line emphasize the form itself rather than ornamentation.
