BIO-based material without plastic packaging

Everything, including the bristles, is made from bio-based plastic produced using renewable castor oil instead of limited fossil raw materials (petrochemicals), as is common with ordinary plastics. Castor oil was chosen as the component for bio-based plastic because it is grown in the Mediterranean (unlike bio-based plastic made from sugar cane, which must be imported from overseas). Castor oil is a renewable natural product produced from the seeds of the Ricinus Communis miracle tree. It is not used as food or animal feed, and therefore its cultivation does not compete with areas grown for food.
