Confronting Implicit Attitudes: "Stand"
Implicit attitudes reflect thoughts and feelings that are outside of individuals' conscious awareness and that they find difficult to express explicitly. These attitudes often arise outside of one's own control, and for this reason, implicit attitude measures provide a more precise assessment tool in this area. Various methods are used to measure implicit attitudes, such as paper-and-pencil tests, tests based on reaction speed, and physiological measurements. These methods aim to reveal the inner world of people and the thoughts they hide in their subconscious.
In "The Stand", we can observe the reflections of these implicit attitudes in our daily lives. There are various elements that exhibit the attitudes we try to escape from with music and feelings. These elements bring our own internal conflicts and escapist tendencies to the surface, allowing us to confront us. "Stand" reminds us to confront the emotions we are always trying to escape from and invites us to an honest dialogue with ourselves. This work is designed as a tool to increase our self-awareness and confront the implicit attitudes in our subconscious.
