Handmade Cat Patterned Stoneware Mug

Combining a natural stoneware surface with drawings created using the sgraffito technique, this handmade mug features different, complementary illustrations on the front and back. One side showcases a playful cat figure accompanied by the words “RELAX, nothing is under control,” while the other side features a pattern of cherries, leaves, and organic lines. The natural stoneware color revealed by carving the dark surface gives the drawings a textured, handcrafted look that differs from traditional printing.

All patterns were created by hand-carving the surface one by one using the sgraffito technique. The surface is finished with a transparent glaze and the product was fired twice during the production process. Due to the nature of handmade production and the carving technique, slight variations in lines, surface, and form are part of each piece's unique character.
