Sel Furniture was founded in 2021 by architect and designer Selkan Erçel. It has adopted a design approach that prioritizes simple and basic forms in its products. She was influenced by the architectural design approach of Southern Spain and Portugal, where she traveled and had the opportunity to live and she was impressed by its simplicity and mystical aura. The harmony of forms and colors in the architectural works of the Andalusian period of Southern Spain and the primitive perspective of Portuguese architecture are leaded in her desig approach.
