Medusa is born with striking beauty. Soon she catches the eye of the Greek Gods, including Poseiden. As Poseiden wants to possess Medusa, Athena’s curse transforms her into a monster. Her hair is made of snakes and whoever she gazes upon is turned into stone. Her tale does not end there.
Medusa’s tragic beauty and her story have always been inspiring. Ever since then she has sometimes been depicted as monstrous and threatening, sometimes as elegant and graceful.
With Gorgo Iruka, Medusa regains her beauty. Her hair still has the locks of the snakes but the eyes that turned people into stone are hidden.
