The story of Makre began in 2022 with the desire of two sisters to combine their interest in design with a sustainable product. Their passion for exploration, aesthetic pursuit, and the desire to bring their own pattern designs to life in a product led to the creation of the Makre brand. The iconic Turkish product, ""peshtemal,"" became their first collection. Makre peshtemals, woven with 100% cotton threads and certified by the OEKO-TEX certificate, offer a practical and sustainable usage experience with their lightweight, softness, and absorbency. Additionally, they allow you to express your style through their differentiated pattern designs. In 2023, Makre expanded its collection to include product categories such as 100% cotton pareos and bandanas. Makre aims to be a design-centered brand that offers beauty and harmony with various products, each having its own unique stories and creativity processes.
