Insect’s Search for his Colour
Insect, the subject of this story, encounters an object he has never seen before while wandering among the leaves. When he looks at that thing whose name he does not know, he sees his own reflection as in a puddle. The only difference is that the colours of his shell are much clearer. Seeing his reflection, Insect cannot hide his astonishment. He realizes that the colour of his shell, which he has not seen clearly before, does not suit him. Insect leaves the thing whose name he does not know and starts walking unhappily, muttering 'could have been better', 'pink could have suited much better'. Leopard Lepi, the most independent member of the Lepidoptera family, sees him, and 'What's going on?' he asks. Leopard Lepi listens to Insect, smiles and says 'Calm down! Why are you acting like you're stuck in this shell? If you are not satisfied with this shell, think outside the box!'. Insect, astonished by what he has heard, asks 'How so?'. 'If you're not happy with the shell you are given, then remove it and find a new shell! If there are no other shells, choose the colour you want and paint it!' Leopard Lepi says.
Insect and Leopard Lepi set off and pick up the paints and start painting Insect's shell his favourite colour pink. On that day Insect breaks the mould, starts to think outside the box and lives happily ever after.
Why do we waste time in a life that we cannot fit into?
Forget about the sentence 'This suits you!', care about what you think of yourself!
Break the mould, choose your own colour! And think outside the box!
It suits you much better :)
