The Dance of Creation and Destruction

In the words of Rollo May, the power of art lies in the synthesis of the elements of creation and destruction. While the artist is able to skillfully combine these two opposing forces, the neurotic individual is only stuck on a destructive level. Both species experience the difficulties of over-individuation, while the neurotic individual is driven into the pains of being over-conscious and seeking perfection.

Fueled by this deep thought, my artwork "Playlıst" aims to express the complexity of emotions and thoughts. Each note is the expression of a dance that oscillates between creating and destroying. The music offers a striking synthesis of creativity and destructiveness as it navigates the turbulent sea of emotions.

This playwright touches on the pangs of hyper-individuation described by Rollo May. Note after note is born from note, creating and washing. Each chord can be an echo of an inner conflict or rebellion. While music feeds on neurotic pain, it also contains an effort to transform these pains into a part of art.

"Playlıst" invites you to explore the complexity of the inner world through a journey through the depths of art. Each melodic touch tells a story, trying to strike a balance where emotions and thoughts swing between creating and destroying.
