Mysta Polymer Floor Lamp takes its form from the traditional cocooning technique applied over a steel wire frame. The semi-permeable shell, formed by layers of a special polymer blend adhering to the surface, softens the light while highlighting the rhythmic lines of the form.
The fine mesh and fiber marks noticed up close are a natural part of the production process; instead of a flawless industrial surface, they bear the traces of craftsmanship that gives each piece its own unique character. When lit, the permeability of the polymer surface and the geometry of the steel skeleton become visible together. Balanced by a slender metal body, Mysta integrates functionality into the design with its pull-chain switch.
