WHAT IS EBRU?

Ebru is a century-old Turkish art form. Paints dripped onto the surface of water are shaped and then transferred to paper or — as we do — onto candles. No pattern can ever be replicated.

️ USAGE SUGGESTION

Leave it burning for at least 2 hours on the first light. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each use. This extends the burning time and prevents soot.

⚠️ NOTE: Since it is handmade, each candle's pattern is unique. The pattern in the image is for illustrative purposes — the candle you receive will be one-of-a-kind.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

️ FIRST LIGHT — THE MOST IMPORTANT

On the first use, let the candle burn for at least 2 hours. Do not extinguish it until the entire surface has melted. Otherwise, a 'tunneling effect' occurs — the candle hollows out in the center, edges do not melt, and its lifespan is shortened.

✂️ WICK MAINTENANCE

Trim the wick to 5 mm before every burn. A long wick causes soot, a large flame, and fast melting. If you don't have a wick trimmer, you can also use a paper towel to trim it.

⏱️ BURNING TIME

Burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time, then let it rest for at least 2 hours. This is the most effective way to protect the candle and extend its burning life.

️ EXTINGUISHING

Do not blow it out — this creates soot and leaves a smell. Use a wick snuffer or a spoon.
