Why different bar sizes?
Piercing bars typically come in 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm lengths. An 8mm bar is preferred for initial piercings to accommodate potential swelling. After the healing period (approx. 2 months), a 6mm or 4mm bar can be used depending on the area and desired comfort.
