Why are different bar sizes used?
Bar sizes of 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm are used in piercings. Initially, an 8 mm bar is preferred due to potential swelling after the first piercing. After the healing process, approximately 2 months later, a 6 mm or 4 mm bar can be used depending on the location and comfort of use.
