The difference between designer lighting and pure commercial fixtures can be seen in the details. The Slamp Battista makes this difference clear. Designer Nigel Coates could just as easily have used a smooth shade, but instead opted for a subtle ‘paint brush’ pattern. The asymmetry of the three wooden legs also adds a designer touch to the Slamp Battista.
