Subaşı Bronze Ring is dedicated to the character Subaşı in Altar Kaplan's novel 'Halifeler Köyü'. The stern attitude of this official, who accompanied judges and scribes, makes the relationship between authority and the census journey visible. The overlapping wide pieces of the ring form a shield-like surface on a circular band. Soft curves and a distinct outer line highlight the form itself rather than ornamentation.
