I paint to process. It’s how I think—slowly, instinctively, and with deliberate honesty. Havvana is my name, and also my grandmother’s. It threads through generations in my family, carrying with it a quiet weight I feel every time I sign it. For me, it’s not just a name—it’s continuity. A way of remembering who I come from while exploring who I’m becoming. Painting has been with me since childhood. I’ve always felt things with a kind of heightened intensity—viscerally, sometimes overwhelmingly. Creating has been my way of grounding that. What began as instinct grew into ritual. I still paint with the urgency of a child, but now with the self-awareness of an adult. Atelier Havvana is the outward shape of this inward rhythm. It’s where I share the results of personal exploration—hoping they’ll resonate with someone else’s inner world. My process often begins with a physical feeling—a need to move, to touch color. I rarely know what I’m about to create. It starts spontaneous and shifts into control. I like when that shows: a trembling line, a deliberate interruption. It’s the most human part. This space is meant to feel calm yet charged, serious but never stiff. It speaks with quiet irony, emotional clarity, and a kind of respectful cool. I hope when someone encounters my work, they feel a flicker of recognition—like discovering a secret they thought only they held. While my practice is rooted in painting, it won’t end there. Over time, Atelier Havvana will grow into a collection of creative objects and expressions that reflect how I live and what I believe in. But its origin will always remain the same: finding balance in chaos, and beauty in the understated. This is a quiet space—with depth. You’re invited to linger.
