Product Story
Although there is
controversy over the first postage stamp issued by postal administrations in the world, it is generally accepted that it began to be used in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the work initiated by the postal reformer Rowland Hill.Prior to the "German Unification" of 1871, individual German states and entities began to issue their own stamps. East Germany issued a stamp composed entirely of synthetic chemicals. It can be said that the introduction of postage stamps created a revolution in communication for that day.
