I Gave Birth Under the Mulberry Tree"
There was a mulberry tree in Göbeklitepe. This tree has been visited among the people of the region since ancient times. Before they knew about Göbeklitepe, women who wanted to give birth stopped by and hugged the tree. This tree was considered sacred. What a magical encounter that a "woman figure giving birth" was found in the ruins of Göbeklitepe (Figure 3). This information must have been transferred from the past to the present in some way, because there is a female figure who gave birth 12 thousand years ago in the soil of the tree where people stop by and hug to give birth. With the inspiration of Göbeklitepe, the mulberry tree, and the woman who gave birth, I gave birth to this painting, and I named it "I gave birth to myself under the mulberry tree." May abundance bring abundance.
