Mimas Design

Mimas Design was born from the idea of creating designs that stand the test of time and retain their value for years to come. As an alternative to the fast-paced, disposable nature of modern consumption, we believe that simple, functional, and timeless products can hold a meaningful place in everyday life. For us, good design is not only about aesthetics; it is about creating an experience that connects with the user, adapts to different moments, and transitions seamlessly throughout the day. We shape each piece through the balance of design discipline and craftsmanship. We work with full grain leather -a durable material that can be reused and repaired- and bring each product to life with care, using traditional saddlery stitching, a long-lasting hand-stitching technique. In our designs, we highlight the natural character of the material, embracing a refined aesthetic where leather takes the lead. We keep metal accessories in the background, creating a timeless, balanced, and strong design language where form and material come to the forefront. By combining functionality with aesthetics, we develop designs that adapt to different usage scenarios; simple, yet distinctive.
