The foundations of our company were laid when our founder, Mr. Nihat, enrolled in the Department of Wood Products Industrial Engineering in 1975. During his summer breaks, he traveled to Europe, where he studied catalogs of wooden products and developed a particular interest in kitchen cabinetry. At that time, kitchens in Turkey were quite limited—typically consisting only of mosaic countertops, dish racks, and lace curtains. Mr. Nihat’s dream was to introduce modern kitchen cabinetry to our country.

Although he initially aspired to establish his own workshop after graduation, the circumstances of that period did not allow it. Thus, he reluctantly stepped into the family business of contracting. Nevertheless, his passion for woodworking never faded.

In 1996, he founded his first workshop to manufacture joinery and kitchen cabinets for a construction project. By 2000, together with his wife, Mrs. Selma, he opened a wooden accessories store, showcasing solid wood products crafted in the workshop. The store quickly attracted great interest.

A new chapter began in 2005 with the production of molded plywood. In the early years, the workshop produced seating components for leading furniture brands. Soon after, stools and chairs followed, and the direction of the business gradually shifted. During this period, Mr. Nihat became well-recognized in the furniture industry as a skilled mold maker, particularly in the field of formed chairs. Later on, his son and daughter, after completing their studies, joined the family business.

Until 2022, LWB Chair carried out a significant portion of its production for other companies. However, in 2022, we opened our first showroom in Istanbul, marking the beginning of presenting our designs under our own brand directly to customers.

Today, as LWB Chair, our mission is to combine sustainable production practices with modern design and uncompromising quality—adapting to the spirit of the times while adding long-term value to the future.
