Evren 302 is one of the three-dimensional works from the Portal Series. This time, I applied dots across all surfaces of a cube instead of a canvas. My intention was for you to encounter different perspectives as you move around the piece, rather than observing a single surface.
The way colors and dots approach and distance themselves from each other, continuing from one surface to another, is one of the most vital aspects of this work for me. A world of its own is formed within a small form.
I consider each of these cubes a different 'universe.' For this reason, the colors and patterns on each are unique, yet they are all parts of the same Portal world.
