YAI is a handmade table lamp designed to bring a timeless character to living spaces with its simple geometry and sculptural form.
The body of YAI is shaped from lightweight concrete produced from a special mixture based on silica and acrylic. The surface is protected with a wipeable acrylic varnish suitable for daily use.
The matte white glass sphere used in the upper section balances and calms the illumination by softening the light instead of spreading it directly. The product is designed for warm yellow light characters and creates a peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evening hours.
Between the concrete body and the matte white glass sphere, there is a brass connection detail that completes the integrity of the design. The warm and natural metallic tone of the brass creates a balanced contrast between the matte textured surface of the concrete and the soft appearance of the glass sphere. This small detail adds warmth and character to YAI's simple form while visually integrating the transition between materials.
YAI's simple body form is designed to harmonize with modern, minimalist, and Japandi-style interiors. It can be used as a decorative lighting object on a living room console, bedroom nightstand, or workspace desk.
