As one of the symbols of classical beauty and the ideal human form, David is reinterpreted in this work, moving away from his usual perfection. The figure rising on a black background creates a feeling of slowly dissolving with paint marks sliding downwards while continuing to maintain its elegance.
The work reflects the idea that time and imperfections can give new meaning to beauty instead of destroying it.
Because perhaps beauty lies not in remaining perfect, but in being able to exist despite change.
