Calyx is an Istanbul based bags and accessories brand pointing out its pattern designs. The journey of Calyx has started in Istanbul, December 2014 as a small accessories project by emphasizing its illustration and pattern designs on bags and accessories made for daily wear. Hand-drawn works are created with fundamental painting techniques like, oil colors, acrylics and watercolors. Beside of products’ physical features, we have another point that distinct ourselves. In the world of mass production, we choose to work with local and small ateliers, that are neglected and forgotten within the rise of factories that has taken the showcase with mass and cheap production. Calyx products are handcrafted by artisans in Istanbul and come out as unique pieces that outbreaks the uniformity.
