The Akatsuchi set was inspired by the vibrant and powerful spirit of the red earth. Only one piece of this unique handmade set was produced, with its energizing warm tones. "Akatsuchi" means "red earth" in Japanese. A fertile, warm and strong ground... This set was shaped by exactly these feelings. The surface in vivid shades of red is reminiscent of the moment when the earth and the sun meet. It is designed to add a natural energy and vitality to your ceremony. With its texture, glaze transitions and form, each piece is like a nature sculpture. Features of Akatsuchi Seti: • It is completely handmade. • Each piece is lathe-shaped, finished with vivid red glazing. • Only 1 piece was produced. The same is not done. Set Contents (5 Pieces): • 1 matcha bowl (chawan) • 1 beater stand (kusenaoshi) • 1 tea glass (yunomi) Optional: • 1 bamboo spoon (chashaku) • 1 bamboo beater (chasen) How to use? Mix 1–2 grams of matcha powder with hot water in the bowl. Froth in a "W" motion with a bamboo beater. Place your beater on its stand and sip on the power of living soil. Note: Due to the handmade manufacturing process, the color and form of each piece may vary slightly. These differences make the product unique.
