This cup is produced with the kurinuki technique used in the Japanese ceramic tradition. The form is not drawn on the lathe; It starts from a single piece of clay block and is shaped by carving the inside with chisel marks. Broken surfaces, sharp lines and natural cavities formed in this process form the character of the piece.

The combination of the dark-toned glaze seen on the surface and the light-colored crystalline textures is the result of a natural interaction that occurs during firing. The rough yet powerful aesthetic of the Kurinuki technique is evident in this glass, especially on the outer surface.

Thanks to its thick body and stable base, it provides a firm grip in the hand. Due to its small volume, it is particularly suitable for serving espresso, heavy coffee, sake, or short tea.
