The construction of the Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa Mosque, which was commissioned to build the first six-minaret mosque of the Ottoman Empire by the order of Sultan Ahmed I in 1609, was completed in 1616. Ahmed I bequeathed a very valuable complex and the magnificent Sultan Ahmed Mosque to Istanbul. The mosque is called the 'Blue Mosque' by the Europeans because it is decorated with blue and white iznik tiles and decorated with blue-weighted pencil works on its domes. The dome and ceiling engravings of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque are part of the area that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1985 under the name of Istanbul Historical Sites. Sultan Ahmed was designed with inspiration from the patterns and decorations found in the main kube of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. In the aging application made on handmade colored glass, 24 carat gold is presented with the handwork and craftsmanship of Decorium.
