Finca La Fany is a family heritage that dates back to the early 1900s. It was first founded by Fabio Morán and then passed down from father to son through generations. The beautiful farm is located at the top of the Apaneca-Illamatepec Mountain Range, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, 3.2 km from the city of Apaneca. It is named after Fany, one of Raphael's ancestors.

In the early 1990s, the business family had the opportunity to purchase this wonderful family heirloom from one of their aunts. Initially, the farm was 100% Bourbon, but now different new varieties are being tried. Even before the farm was purchased, La Fany already had a big name in the area for its coffee quality and productivity.

As the fifth generation in the family to have control over this land, they are very attached to this farm.

One of the proudest moments was in 2005 when La Fany Red Bourbon took 4th place in the COE.

Over the years, there has been a focus on caring for the environment, and different ecological techniques are being tried on the farm to achieve harmony. They set up their own worm nursery, producing both soil with a large amount of nutrients, which is used as fertilizer, very rich in nutrients, which is placed under the trees, and liquid Vermicompost, which is sprayed on the branches. The Pulp part of the Coffee Fruit is digested and used as food for the earthworms that form the soil. Vermicompost is then applied in addition to chemical fertilizers in the coffee plantation.
