Mineral-based gypsum was created by applying layer by layer on the canvas by hand. During the drying process, random but controlled cracks were formed on the surface with natural fracturing techniques. This surface was then sanded by hand to give depth and clarity in some areas. The texture, fixed with a semi-matte varnish, created a natural surface aesthetic that reinforces interaction with light.
