MCM-10 Embrace is a unique wall object that combines natural linen-cotton fabric woven in Buldan with bio-based and industrially biodegradable 3D printing materials. The three-dimensional production applied directly onto the textile surface reinterprets traditional material knowledge with a contemporary and more sustainable production approach.
In the composition, two large organic forms surround a smaller central form, creating a strong sense of embrace and protection. The proximity between forms, color contrasts, and the center-periphery relationship give the design both a balanced and emotional character.
Each piece developed within the MCM Series reflects the DOU Craft Studio design approach, bringing together traditional textile production with contemporary digital production techniques.
