MCM-06 Frequency is a unique wall object that brings together natural Buldan linen-cotton fabric with bio-based and biodegradable 3D printing technology under appropriate industrial conditions. Printing three-dimensional elements directly onto the textile surface establishes a new and sustainable material relationship between traditional weaving and digital production.
Linear elements moving in a vertical direction and organic forms relating to these lines create a rhythmic sense of frequency on the surface. Relationships of repetition, spacing, and direction give the design a structured yet vibrant movement. The contrast between the natural texture of the fabric and the distinct surface of the 3D print strengthens the graphic impact of the composition.
Each piece developed within the MCM Series reflects the DOU Craft Studio design approach, which brings traditional textile production together with contemporary digital production techniques.
