Togo Slim Log Side Table - Yakisugi Handcrafted

The Togo Series has been produced by applying various handcrafted woodworking processes to a solid log made of chestnut timber. After a clean, straight cut, the log has been stacked outdoors for many years; during this period, exposure to sun, wind, and seasonal conditions has resulted in natural marks and cracks forming on the surface. This stacking process has become the defining characteristic that distinguishes Togo from similar products, giving each piece an unrepeatable surface identity. Subsequent washing, surface cleaning, refinement, and sanding processes have been carried out in a way that preserves the wood’s natural traces. In the final stage, the traditional yakisugi (wood-burning) technique has been applied. This process has increased surface durability and made the cracks more pronounced.
