MCM-09 Sequence is a unique wall object that brings together natural Buldan linen-cotton fabric with bio-based and industrially biodegradable 3D printing material. The three-dimensional layers added directly onto the natural texture of the fabric combine traditional production with contemporary technology in the same composition.
The repeating forms in the composition progress along the surface in a specific sequence and directional relationship. The sequential use of colors and shapes gives the design a regular rhythm, while the visual flow created by the repetitions strengthens the integrity of the composition.
Each piece developed within the MCM Series reflects the DOU Craft Studio design approach, which brings together traditional textile production with contemporary digital production techniques.
