Sometime, somewhere, someone has claimed that it was women who designed the first interiors in history using only hand-woven fabrics! How could these early, woven shelters in history make reference to the homes we live in today? What did it mean to create comfort when considering sustainability? Around these questions, we founded FineGrid as a platform that embraces the Aegean tradition of hand-weaving, slow production while bringing together talented local artisans as a way to turn the shelter into a home. At FineGrid, we support artisan communities, running family owned workshops, to continue to pursue a thousand year old heritage of handweaving, in sustainable fashion as well as productive women who are trying to stand on their own feet. At FineGrid we offer quality textiles that are carefully selected, ethically produced and priced, and environmentally friendly products.
