The Farmhood brand emerged with the dream of transforming our agricultural products into a more value-added form without leaving their natural structure. After graduating from the industrial engineering department, I worked in the field of supply chain for a long time and left corporate life in 2021. I thought I could take advantage of emerging food technologies to increase the value of agricultural production and reduce food waste. I started my studies there because we have a small tangerine orchard in Bodrum. When I talked to the farmers, local producers and agricultural engineers in the region, I learned that the Bodrum tangerine decreased in value due to its multi-seeded nature, while its quality decreased due to neglect. Seeing the need for new generation processing technologies here, I started Farmhood's activities by developing healthy snacks produced with Freeze Dry method, which is a high food drying technology.
