Amarkord Ceramics

The name ‘Amarkord’ comes from Fellini’s fi lm ‘Amarkord’ shot in 1973. In the Roman dialect it means, ‘I remember’, which is ‘Mi ricordi’. With a love for the Mediterranean spirit, for me ‘Amarkord’ brought Fellini to mind. Dreams... A gentle breeze blowing, a blue coast and of course a sense of nostalgia while saying ’Life is beautiful’. La Dolce Vita. Not taking yourself too seriously; laughter. Friends, family, lengthy tables, or maybe tables just set for you. Starting with a few plates two years ago, I continued, always trying different designs and series. All plates are hand- painted and not one looks like the other; I prefer the imperfections that makes them unique. ’Amarkord’ is actually a melange of my favourite things. ‘Amarkord’ is for those embracing colours.
