15 West, which likes drawing inspiration from traditional Anatolian tales, takes a closer look at Keloglan whom we know from Turkish children’s tales in its “Fardel” collection. Though the fardel, a bundle that Keloglan ties at the end of a stick for his journeys, is an ordinary enough object, it tends to remind us of stories that have made an impression in our minds when we were kids. This enables our dreams and interpretations of these characters’ lives to resurface once more.
The “fardel” collection, which compliments the fun and pure outlook we had as kids, features a design with slender table legs and bodies encircled by wing-like frames spreading to the sides. The fardel figure, which can be seen beneath the coffee table platform unites with the special, striped 15 West design to take us back to our childhood and evoke our creativity once more.
